On today’s Episode, Janell and her co-host Nora speak with Esther Littlefield, a writer, podcaster, and entrepreneur. Esther grew up in a Christian home and took belief for granted. At the age of 13, a horrific accident changed her life.  She went from believing that if something bad happens, pray and God would fix it -to a place of anger and questions. Through her faith journey she learned to trust God for each day, one day at a time. She shares advice for the person who’s feeling angry with God right now as well as advice for the friend who wants to love a suffering friend well.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong

Psalm 13
How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?
    How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I take counsel in my soul
    and have sorrow in my heart all the day?
How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?
 Consider and answer me, O Lord my God;
    light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,
 lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,”
    lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.
 But I have trusted in your steadfast love;
    my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
 I will sing to the Lord,
    because he has dealt bountifully with me.
